Dear Friends,
Rayuela, home of Estilo Libre (free-style) Latino cuisine, announces its Valentine’s Day menu for 2010. Infused with sultry Latin flavors, our Valentine’s Day menu has enchanted New York most romantic foodies year after year. Relying on nothing else but outstanding food and superb service to make this experience beyond compare, Rayuela has proven that the idea of romance and fine dining go hand in hand. In order to attend to the increasing demand of foodies and romantics alike, this year we will be offering our V-day menu throughout the weekend.
The four-course prix-fixe menu, priced at $55 per person, will start diners with a winter gazpacho amuse; they will then be invited to choose out of 8 different appetizers like Langosta Revolución Ceviche, Tuna Rellena and Mollejas con Yuca, and 8 different entrees like Pato con Arepa, Churrasco Tejada and Squid ink Paella, among others. Our special desserts will feature Chocolate Cortazar, Pear Tres Leches and Dulcinea, an almond cake parfait layered with mamey custard and red fruit salad. To top it all off, diners can try a wine pairing for an additional $28, which includes a complimentary Benjamin size bottle of champagne.
As always, Rayuela pairs these delicious dishes with a natural romantic atmosphere, perfect for an intimate night out with your loved one. Couples will be illuminated by candlelight amid exclusive flowing curtains, while sipping Rayuela’s signature cocktail, Coming up Roses.
“Valentine’s Day has always reminded me of the film 'Like Water for Chocolate,' where Tita expresses her longing for a forbidden love through her cooking" said Chef Máximo Tejada. "Everyone who tastes her food then feels what she feels, her love and passion is transfused into every dish.”
